Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ and the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko, who is a Muay Thai kickboxer, began her career in fight sport at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina followed it up with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011, and was the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003, and she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimity. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA professional career back in the year 2002 after the victory over Anara Baanova at the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was forced to take a absence from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera by knees. After this win, Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at TUF's Heavy Hitters finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by a unanimous decision. She then was unable to win her next bout due to the split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights but then lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
